A couple of days after the Grand Melee, the newly named Guardians of Hope were back on their feet. As they found out, they were now fairly known amongst the general populace, and also fairly popular. There was a lot of respect surrounding their feat. They were congratulated a lot, and offered a lot of free drinks everywhere they went.

King Tithian announces how the Dragon will be handled. Anyone can volunteer, and if you do, your wife (or child) will be granted a small townhouse outside of Tyr, along with a 100 gp a year pension for the next 10 years. The decision is well received, most people think it's fair. Most also expect that there will be little problem getting 200 volunteers.
As they sit in the Fallen Dragon, they are approached by a noble flanked by the twin eladrins from the Grand Melee Finale, V'kala and D'kala. It is Marten Re'gar, the very same guy that got Aram thrown into slavery for 13 years. But he doesn't recognize him. Aram does however.
Marten wants the Guardians of Hope to leave Amanda alone, he wants them to walk away. He says they are endangering her life, just by keeping her around. When pressed, he admits that it is because she is in fact a Re'gar - or rather, the illegitimate daughter of Marten's father. And now, they fear for her life. He even offered 3000 golden bits for them to walk away.

The Guardians weren't completely convinced, at least not all of them. Po definitely wanted to take the money and run.
But before they could refuse, Vrylar looked up Dante. Someone was looking for the Black Snake, and would be at the Drunken Whore (tavern) until two hours past midnight tonight, wearing a blue cloak with 5 stars on it.
They passed on the message to Re'gar that they weren't interested, and then went to the Drunken Whore, where they were greeted by a huge Mul named Jutan.
Hello there, I am Jutan and I run this place. Are you here for girls? Boys? Or maybe you would like to drink some Kank-piss while finding a girl or a boy to your liking? They politely declined the offer of companionship, and sat down near the door. Dante put on his game-face and approached Bluecloak. As it turns out, Bluecloak wanted Amanda kidnapped. He had drawn pictures of her and all the members of Guardians of Hope, as well as notes regarding their abilities. A price was set, and they parted ways, the rest of the Guardians of Hope leaving the tavern before Bluecloak could notice them.

Plans were made. At first, the Guardians of Hope wanted to buy some corpses and make it seems as if they had died. But they realized they could just lay low for a couple of days, and then spring the trap.

After finding an empty house in the warrens to use as trap, the Guardians and Amanda went there, hid around the house with Amanda laying tied up in one of the beds.
Bluecloak arrived as clockwork, entering the house, where Dante greeted him and brought him upstairs to Amanda. As he delivered the payment, combat was engaged, with Bluecloaks minions swarming the house. The fight was long, and although the Guardians of Hope prevailed, it was not without loss. Erevan died, falling of the top of one of the buildings, landing at the feet of Bluecloak's allies. Also, Bluecloak's payment turned out to be nothing but rocks.
They caught one of the minions, and he knew a little bit. Some merchant named Protos had (maybe) given the order to kidnap Amanda. And he could also tell that the Iron Rats, another guild of Tyr, were up to something big. He told them to find his mate, Jonas(?), from who they could easily extract more info. He told them where to find his mate in the Warrens.

The next day, the Guardians of Hope headed to the Warrens and found the abandoned inn where the Iron Rats were hanging out. They got past the front guards with some bluffing and threats, but then ran into trouble in the basement, getting caught in a two-way battle. Despite being a man down, the Guardians of Hope managed to deal with the Iron Rats. They even got a prisoner, although not the right one.
Looking through the hideout, they uncovered a lot of notes about what seems to be a forthcoming plan. Some noble (or rich/powerful man) denoted Haittin is to die. It is clear that no expenses will be spared in order to complete this mission. It is also clear that the Iron Rats are just one of several parties in the plan, mostly as scouts and such. They are not going to deliver the killing blow themselves.
Also, in a secret compartment in a boot in one of the sleeping quarters, the Guardians of Hope find a very old map with some odd symbols scribbled onto it. It looks.... interesting.
They also find 4 potions marked "heelin"
Husk: Ding 4
